Testimony is a brilliant story about corruption in a private school, culpability and loss; a real work of art!”

A scandalous sex tape involving several boys and an underage girl finds its way into the hands of Avery Academy’s headmaster.
What Mike Bordwin does about this shocking and damaging tape and how he confronts those involved, actually magnifies the effects of this teen-aged mischief.
The community is shocked and outraged at the possibility of this type of thing happening at the venerated boarding school.
Parents are already paying a high price for their children to have a better, more upstanding education; this had to be some horrible mistake, just a huge misunderstanding!
As the story unfolds, the students called in to be questioned and their parents are notified.
One single act can affect so many people and so many lives.
Fingers are pointed, confessions are coerced, lives are shredded and families are ripped apart.

Testimony is a very well-written and entertaining book.
The story was unique because it allowed me, the reader, to see things from multiple perspectives. Though it was written from the many different perspectives, I didn’t find it confusing. The characters were distinct enough and written skillfully enough that I fell back into that particular characters storyline very easily. I found the characters to be believable and reasonably realistic. I was moved and felt their emotional ups and downs and shared in their pain and sadness. The storyline and plot was refreshing twist on a rather old ‘school scandal’ idea. The ending was poignant and perfect…I can’t say too much because I don’t want to ruin it for you.
I highly recommend this book!

  1. I know. I love the way this book is written.
I couldn’t figure out why Silas had become such an angry guy, until Anita decided it was time for me to know. :-)

Did you review it too Kathy?
